#1. HOW TO FOLLOW A CONVERSATION THREAD ON FACEBOOK

I cut and paste this directly from my Facebook page, where people found my tip VERY useful. So here you go!

People ask great questions on Facebook and you might find the answers could help you too. If you want to follow the discussion of any Facebook conversation on anyone’s page for future reference, there are two good options. #1. This is the best option, in my opinion. Click on the three dots (or tiny arrow) next to the post (on the top right) and click “save post.” Facebook keeps your saved posts in one easy-to-navigate page. #2. Click in the same general area to “turn on notifications for this post.” Either of these actions *should* keep you from leaving a comment saying “following,” which simply creates a bunch of needless comments for others to sift through. Hope that helps! [I genuinely think FB is hard to navigate.]

#2. STRETCH YOUR TOES

My BFF, Taryn, who always introduces me to fabulously random things did so again when she told me about a great way to help my always-aching feet. These things look crazy, but they are AMAZING! See below.

#3. FAN OF GAME OF THRONES?

I recapped the most recent season because something is wrong with me and I couldn’t help myself. You can find all my recaps and hopefully entertaining commentary here.

LISTEN

The new-ish podcast Radio Atlantic (from Atlantic Magazine) had a fun episode, “What Game of Thrones Has Taught Us About Politics.” (episode 8)

I especially loved the recent marriage episode on one of my favorite weekly podcasts: Unorthodox from Tablet Magazine.

READ

East of Eden by John Steinbeck is $1.99 on Kindle! It’s one of my favorite novels of all time because it’s basically a juicy soap opera dressed up as a classic.

I’m on an excellent reading streak. #30-33 on my pithy review list for 2017 have all been really good.

THAT’S FOR ALL NOW. I’m thinking of everyone affected by Harvey, Irma, and whatever else is out there threatening people–storms and otherwise.

Nina Badzin hosts the podcast Dear Nina: Conversations About Friendship. She's been writing about friendship since 2014, co-leads the writing groups at ModernWell in Minneapolis, and reviews 30+ books a year on her website.
