Overnight Camp and Getting Blog Readers

OVERNIGHT CAMP, HELICOPTER MOMS, AND SKINNED KNEES

The First World Problem of Prepping Your Kid for Camp by Nina Badzin for The Jewish Daily Forward

I sent my eight-year-old son to a week of overnight camp. He was only gone for two hours when I sat down to write about the process of preparing him (the insane process) and to capture some thoughts about parents and camp in general. I hope you’ll join me at the Jewish Daily Forward to read the article. I put a quote from my piece below:

“From the way I carried on about the packing process, you would think Sam was departing for a tour of duty in Afghanistan instead of seven nights (yes, only seven) with some kids he has known his entire life. How can the child that I thought on one hand needed a more a challenging camp experience be the same child for whom I went to three stores to find the “perfect” shower bucket?”

Would love to hear your thoughts!

GETTING PEOPLE TO READ YOUR BLOG

The one blogging question I get consistently is this: “How do you get comments on your blog?”

What I think people mean when they ask that question is “How do you get people to read your blog?”

My answer is on author and writing coach Rochelle Melander’s site: WriteNowCoach.com.

Let’s talk about blog comments, blog readers, and building a blogging community over THERE
