Friendship Articles, Episodes and More
It’s the Friday Friendship roundup! Okay, that’s actually a brand new series here. I see so many friendship related things throughout the week, either because I find them myself or people send them to me. I’m going to start sharing them here.
Books
I reviewed two friendship books this week on the site. We Need to Hang Out: A Memoir of Making Friends by Billy Baker. And Social Chemistry by Marissa King.
Articles
Alice Hoffman wrote a beautiful essay in Modern Love about a 60-year friendship.
I appreciated this article in The Washington Post defending the oft mocked “girls’ trip.”
Podcast
My best friend, Taryn, recommended the the 8-episode podcast, “The Just Enough Family.” The podcast host, Ariel Levy, interviews her close friend, fashion designer, Liz Lange, about Liz’s larger than life late uncle Saul Steinberg and the enormous wealth he amassed then lost and all the family drama that came with it. It’s quick and so well done.
