My New Website
Welcome to my new website! I’m SO happy with the new layout and the focus on the three things I tend to write about and do professionally: Write and podcast about friendship, review books, and teach writing classes through ModernWell in Minneapolis. There are no openings left in my fall classes or I would have linked the registration.
Creating the new site forced me to narrow down my interests. For example, I still have tons of posts here about cooking and old posts that I love about parenting and baby names along with so many other topics. All of those posts still exist on the blog, but I could only make a special spot on the home page for three sections–friendship, writing, and books won the day.
My favorite new feature is the “Ask An Anonymous Question” button at the top of the home page. I’ve wanted and needed something like that on my site for a long time. And I just like the fresh new look of it all.
A website is important real estate, and like any “home,” it needs to be refreshed now and then.

Hi Nina, I love the website. Did you do it yourself? I’m also thinking of revamping my real estate and narrow the blog focus.
No! I had lots of help. I had a sense of what I wanted for the change of focus, but I had hired different creative guys to do the work. One to help with concept and one to make the site. All way beyond my skillset.
